SERVICE
What we do for quality service
First we check the backing plates to ensure if they are straight and true and that the wear surface isn't too heavily damaged.  This is step is crucial to make sure the resurfacing is a success.

GRINDING
Removing the bad
Each pad gets ground separately and only enough material is removed to make the surface clean and free of any defects and wear marks. By grinding one pad to a time this ensures that no extra material is being removed, by doing this it means you can have the same pads resurfaced again and again.

RESURFACING
Machined surface
Our resurfaced face is the final step in the process. Our surfaces are within .002 thousands, about the thickness of a piece of paper. This leaves the wear surface in like new condition and ready to go back into service.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For Your Convenience
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THEY ARE ABLE TO RESURFACED?
First we check the backing plates to make sure they are straight, if they are bent, they are not resurfacable. I have yet to find a pad that the "wear " surface is so damaged that it can not be saved.
DO YOU ONLY RESURFACE PICCOLA OR ALIVA WEAR PADS?
I know that I can do Aliva and Piccola wear pads with great success, but if you have another brand, email with a picture and I will let you know if it is possible, honestly it never hurts to check.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RESURFACEÂ MY WEAR PADS?
Normally turn around times are very quick on small orders, larger orders ( 100+) normally take a 1-2 weeks. We will ship out the orders the next buisness day once the invoice is paid by check, money order or bank wire transfer. Sorry no net 30/60 at this time.
Indicating the Cross section
Here is a video of measuring the flatness of two pads. The pad on the left is factory new, never used sample and the pad on the right is a resurfaced pad done here at Witt's Precision Resurfacing.

Note- A piece of paper is about 3-4 thousasndths.
Indicating the radius
Here are the same two pads as the last video, factory new on the left and Witts pad on the right. Factory new is about +/- 14 and half thousandths (.0145) and ours is less then a half thousandths (.0005.) We either meet or exceed factory specs. Each pad resurfaced goes through this type of measuring to ensure we are delivering the best possible service for our clients.
